Set Up In Playard Position

How To Fold Down The CO-SLEEPER® brand Bassinet

Set Up In Playard Position:

1. Pull the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet out of the box.
2. Lay the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet down with the handle facing up.
3. Unzip the nylon carrying bag and remove it.
4. Unfasten the velcro straps that is attached to the mattress and remove the mattress from the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet.
5. Remove the assembly instructions and the plastic bag which contains the sheet, strap & plate, and leg extensions.
6. Remove the plastic bag that contains the liner from the top of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet and the nylon bag that contains the support bars and hangers from the bottom of the unit.
7. Lift the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet by the plastic corners to an upright position.
8. Spread the bottom legs apart with your foot while pulling the top sides of theCO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet apart.
9. Lock the top bars by pulling up on the center of each bar. (Please note: there are two locking mechanisms on each top bar. Sometimes you need to pull it up quickly to get both mechanisms to lock securely.)
10. Repeat this process on all three remaining bars.
11. Now that all the top bars are locked, lock the bottom support bars by pushing down on the center of each bottom bar. You can do this with your hand or foot. Make sure all bottom bars are secure.
12. Open the plastic bag that contains the sheet and attach it to the mattress.
13. Feed the nylon straps that are located on each corner of the mattress through the slits in the corners of the sheet.
14. Lay the mattress on the bottom of the playard.
15. Feed the straps through the nylon and snap the mattress to the leg of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet.
16. Repeat Step 15 on all three remaining sides.
17. On the back of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet, roll up the nylon pockets and secure it with the straps by snaping them together. This will allow visibility into the unit.
18. The unit is now in the playard position.

Helpful hint: All the top bars must be locked before locking any of the bottom support bars. If you have locked the bottom bars first, the locking mechanism in the unit will not allow you to contine locking all the top bars.

Converting Playard To CO-SLEEPER® brand Bassinet:

1. Remove the mattress from the playard.
2. Unfasten the velcro and snaps underneath the corners of the plastic connectors and receivers.
3. With your hand or foot, unlock the front bottom support bar by pulling up on the center of the bar into an upsidedown "V" as high as it can go.
4. Unlock the top bar by wrapping your hands around the center of the bar and locating the locking mechanism with your thumbs. Push in on the buttons and gently pull up, then push down. By doing this correctly the bar will release into a "U" position.
5. Put your left leg against the lowering bar so that you are standing sideways. Grab the plastic connector with your hand and pull the plastic tab towards you while lifting the connector up at the same time.
6. Repeat this step on the opposite side.
7. Attach the connectors into the receivers as recommended below.
   
   

   Please follow these steps to adjust the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet height from 18"- 24":

   
   
   Mattress height of 18":
   1. If your mattress height from the floor to the top of your mattress is 18", insert the plastic connectors into the lowest receivers on both sides.
   2. Lock the top bar by pulling up on the center of the bar.
   3. Once the top bar is locked, lock the bottom support bar by pushing down on the center of the bar. You can do this with your hand or foot.
   4. Assemble the support bars and hangers by inserting the long bars into the lower female receiver of the hanger. Make sure the metal button clicks into the plastic hanger. Connect the long bars into each side of the short bar. (There should be a total of 4 Hangers, 3 Long Bars with metal buttons, and 2 Connector Bars)
   5. Attach the support bars and hangers to the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet by placing the hanger on the nylon bar and rotating it into position. (Please note the correct placement of where the hangers need to be positioned are located on the unit)
   6. The lowering bar is now at 18". Please continue following the set up procedures on Step 8.
   
   Mattress height of 20":
   1. If your mattress height from the floor to the top of your mattress is 20", follow the previous Step 1 and Step 2.
   2. Add the 2" increment on each leg to raise the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet to 20".
   3. The lowering bar is now at 20". Please continue following the set up procedures on Step 8.
   
   Mattress height of 22":
   1. If your mattress height from the floor to the top of your mattress is 22", insert the plastic connectors into the upper receivers on both sides.
   2. Lock the top bar by pulling up on the center of the bar.
   3. Once the top bar is locked, lock the bottom support bar by pushing down on the center of the bar. You can do this with your hand or foot.
   4. Assemble the support bars and hangers by inserting the long bars into the upper female receiver of the hanger. Make sure the metal button clicks into the plastic hanger. Connnect the long bars into each side of the short bar. (There should be a total of 4 Hangers, 3 Long Bars with metal buttons, and 2 Connector Bars)
   5. Attach the support bars and hangers to the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet by placing the hanger on the nylon bar and rotating it into position. (Please note the correct placement of where the hangers need to be positioned are located on the unit)
   6. The lowering bar is now at 22". Please continue following the set up procedures on Step 8.
   
   Mattress height of 24":
   1. If your mattress height from the floor to the top of your mattress is 24", follow the previous Step 1 and Step 2.
   2. Add the 2" increment on each leg to raise the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet to 24".
   3. The lowering bar is now at 24". Please continue following the set up procedures on Step 8.
8. Remove the liner from the plastic bag and lay the liner over the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet frame with the long flap over the lowering bar. Pull the back corners over the frame. Secure the liner into place with the snaps on all corners. (Please note: If the adult mattress is 18"- 20" unzip the zipper that runs horizontally along the lower part of the liner to lower the "adjustable nest" to rest on the support bars. Then, unzip the two vertical zippers that are located on the inside of the front corners of the liner.)
9. Secure the front lower corner flaps of the liner to the velcro patches found on the front and sides of the nylon panel.
10. Make sure the over hanging fabric covers the corner flaps and secure the front over hanging fabric to the velcro patches found on the lower nylon panel of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet.
11. Lay the mattress on top of the liner and connect the velcro on the bottom of the mattress to the support bars by feeding the velcro strap down through one slit of the fabric liner around the metal support bar, then back up through the other slit in the fabric liner, and finally securing the velcro on the mattress. Repeat this step all four sides of the mattress.
12. Attach the strap & plate from your bed and connect it to the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet through the belt loop located on the side of the unit. (Please see instructions on page 4 of how to attach the strap & plate to the adult bed)
13. The unit is now in CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet position.

Before putting your infant into the unit, check the following to make sure the unit is in the proper CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet position:

1. Make sure all the top bars and the bottom support bars are locked.
2. Double check to make sure the mattress is secured to the support bars.

Convert From CO-SLEEPER® Brand Bassinet To Free-Standing Bassinet:

Please note: The nest of the bassinet is adjustable. You can set the adjustable nest to either the upper level at 12" or on the lower level at 16". Set the nest at the desired depth before converting from CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet to a free-standing bassinet:

1. Remove the mattress and the liner.
2. For the lower nest position of 16", set the support bars into the four plastic hangers in the lower receivers.
3. For the lower nest position of 12", set the support bars into the four plastic hangers in the upper receivers.
4. Attach the support bars and hangers to the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet by placing the hanger on the nylon bar and rotating it into position. (Please note the correct placement of where the hangers need to be positioned are located on the unit)
5. Lay the liner over the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet frame with the long flap over the lowering bar. Pull the back corners over the frame. Secure the liner into place with the snaps on all corners.
6. If the desired depth of the adjustable nest is 16", unzip the zipper that runs horizontally along the lower part of the liner to lower the "adjustable nest" to rest on the support bars.
7. If the desired depth of the adjustable nest is 12" zip up the zipper that runs horizontally along the lower part of the liner to raise the "adjustable nest" to rest on the support bars.
8. Lay the mattress on top of the liner and connect the velcro on the bottom of the mattress to the support bars by feeding the velcro strap down through one slit of the fabric liner around the metal support bar, then back up through the other slit in the fabric liner, and finally securing the velcro on the mattress. Repeat this step all four sides of the mattress.

1. Pull the overhang fabric back and uncover the upper receivers.
2. With your hand or foot, unlock the front bottom support bar by pulling up on the center of the bar into an upsidedown "V" as high as it can go.
3. Unlock the top bar by wrapping your hands around the center of the bar and locating the locking mechanism with your thumbs. Push in on the buttons and gently pull up, then push down. By doing this correctly the bar will release into a "U" position.
4. Uncover the fabric flaps from the upper receivers and lower connectors.
5. Put your left leg against the lowering bar so that you are standing sideways. Grab the plastic connector with your hand and pull the plastic tab towards you while lifting the connector up at the same time.
6. Repeat this step on the opposite side.
7. Fasten the snaps and velcro underneath the corners of the plastic connectors and receivers.
8. Attach the connectors into the upper receivers on both sides.
9. Lock the top bar by pulling up on the center of the bar.
10. Once the top bar is locked, lock the bottom support bar by pushing down on the center of the bar. You can do this with your hand or foot.
11. Secure the front lower corner flaps of the liner to the velcro patches found on the front and sides of the nylon panel.
12. Pull the front fabric panel over the upper locked bar.(If the adult mattress is 18"- 20", zip up the two vertical zippers that are located on the inside of the front corners of the liner before pulling the front fabric panel over the upper locked bar.)
13. Make sure the over hanging fabric covers the corner flaps and secure the front over hanging fabric to the velcro patches found on the lower nylon panel of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet.
14. Secure the fabric flaps on the inside corners of the bassinet liner.
15. The CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet is now in a free-standing bassinet position.

How To Fold Down The CO-SLEEPER® Brand Bassinet:

1. Remove the mattress from the liner by unfastening the velcro on the bottom of the mattress from the liner.
2. Pull the overhang fabric back and uncover the upper receivers.
3. With your hand or foot, unlock the front bottom support bar by pulling up on the center of the bar into an upsidedown "V" as high as it can go.
4. Unlock the top bar by wrapping your hands around the center of the bar and locating the locking mechanism with your thumbs. Push in on the buttons and gently pull up, then push down. By doing this correctly the bar will release into a "U" position.
5. Unfasten the snaps underneath the corners of the plastic connectors and receivers.
6. Put your left leg against the lowering bar so that you are standing sideways. Grab the plastic connector with your hand and pull the plastic tab towards you while lifting the connector up at the same time.
7. Repeat this step on the opposite side.
8. Remove the liner from the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet and fold it.
9. Fasten the snaps underneath the corners of the plastic connectors and receivers.
10. Attach the connectors back into the upper receivers on both sides.
11. Lock the top bar by pulling up on the center of each bar.
12. Once the top bar is locked, lock the bottom support bar by pushing down on the center of the bar. You can do this with your hand or foot.
13. Remove the support bars and hangers by holding on to the bottom of the hook and sliding the hanger along the mesh side of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet in a circular motion.
14. Disassemble the support bars and hangers and place them back in the nylon bag.
15. With your hand or your foot, unlock the bottom support bars by pulling up on the center of the bar into an upsidedown "V" as high as it can go.
16. Unlock the top bar by wrapping your hands around the center of the bar and locating the locking mechanism with your thumbs. Push in on the buttons and gently pull up, then push down. By doing this correctly the bar will release into a "U" position.
17. Pull up on the handle in the middle of the playard and gather the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet together. It should collapse down into a rectangular position with the legs sticking out. Lay the CO-SLEEPERr® brand bassinet on its side and stand over the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet. Push down on the legs with a little pressure until you hear a click. The CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet will then break down.
18. Place the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet upsidedown and press the tab on the inside of the leg to remove the leg extension.
19. Repeat this step on all remaining legs.
20. Secure the nylon bag containing the support bars and hangers in between the legs of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet.
21. Store the liner in the top end of the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet and store the leg extensions and the strape & plate on the sides of the unit.
22. Wrap the mattress around the unit and feed the velcro straps through the plastic loops that are attached at the opposite end of the mattress. Pull and secure the velcro straps.
23. Put the CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet into the carrying bag with the handle from the mattress coming through the opening of the bag and zip up.
24. The CO-SLEEPER® brand bassinet is in travel position or can be stored away.
